The new batch of Dogfish Head's Pangaea has arrived.
Brewed with ingredients from every continent, including crystallized ginger from Australia, Moscavado sugar from Africa, basmati rice from Asia, European malt, American hops, quinoa from South America, and water from Antartica. This slightly spicy ale, with a mouthful of rich flavors, displays a nice hint of ginger, and its complexity increases if drunk cool, not cold.
We have finally received our share of the Dogfather Imperial Stout. The Dogfather is one of the biggest brews yet from Laughing Dog, weighing in at a hefty 11% ABV. The Dogfather is made with seven different malts and four hop varieties, giving it a complex flavor profile. A portion of the original brew spent time in bourbon barrels requiring a total of 11 months to complete.
This one is pretty limited with production totaling 40 Keg equivalents for draft and only 300 cases of bottles, so grab it quick before it's gone. But don't fret if you miss out, it looks like this one might be back for the sequel next winter.
Also in is Ninkasi's Oatis Oatmeal Stout:
"Dark, complex and delicious, a strong, flavorful Oatmeal stout. Enough hops to balance the large amounts of dark and roasted malts, with the addition of oatmeal creating a creamy smooth drinkability. 7.5% alc/vol. 45 IBUs."
Fullers London Porter is back! In-date this time and in 500ml cans! Needless to say the Bottleworks crew is stoked considering this is one of our favorite porters.
"Rich, dark and complex, at 5.4% ABV the beer has an outstanding depth of flavour. It is brewed from a blend of Brown, Crystal and Chocolate malts for a creamy delivery balanced by traditional Fuggles hops. The range of flavours works well with a wide variety of foods, ranging from rich meat dishes, to oysters, and even chocolate puddings."
Another new one is the Lager from St. George Brewing in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.Back In Stock:
Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA 12oz. (DE)
Brasserie Des Rocs Grand Cru 11.2oz (Belgium)

The sixth and final stop of the night was the Stumbling Monk, where the flattering picture seen here was taken. I'm not sure what Trevor was thinking at this moment. Maybe he was praying for no hangover (not bloody likely) or maybe just gargling with his beer. You'll have to ask him...if he remembers.

New Belgium's La Folie has just rolled through the door. More on this one from the brewery:
"La Folie Wood-Aged Biere, is our original wood-conditioned beer, resting in French Oak barrels between one and three years before being hand bottled, numbered and corked for your enjoyment. Brewmaster, Peter Bouckaert, came to us from Rodenbach – home of the fabled sour red. Our La Folie emulates the spontaneous fermentation beers of Peter’s beloved Flanders with sour apple notes, a dry effervescence, and earthy undertones."
We also received one case of Silver City's Whoop Pass Double IPA.
"Without a doubt the boldest, hoppiest, biggest mother of a brew we have ever created. More than 50 lbs. of Washington State Cascade and Columbus hops are infused, injected, or otherwise inflicted upon a single batch. Welcome to hop country! 9% ABV "
Also in this week, Fish Brewing's Winter Fish:
This is the Cascadian ale brewed for the season of celebrations. Very pale and full bodied with a rich flavor imparted by Pale and Honey malt and assertively friendly hop character, Winterfish will put a glow in your cheeks and warmth in your heart. The hop profile is quite distinct, featuring 100% Yakima "Chinook hops in the kettle for bittering, flavor and aroma. In fact, this is the hoppiest beer yet from the Mighty Fish Brewers, and perhaps the hoppiest Winter seasonal you’ll have the pleasure to taste this year."
And last but not least, a new shipment of the Pike Entire Wood-Aged Stout has arrived. We unfortunately have to impose a limit of 3 bottles per customer because this shipment was very limited and we don't expect it to last long.
That's all for today, Have a great weekend and hopefully we'll see you tonight at Brouwer's for Round Two of Big Wood!

Speaking of Stone, their Cali-Belgique came in today (220z.) but we could only get our hands on a small amount. It will go fast.
Two new English ales imported by our friend Alan Shapiro have arrived: Batemans Combined Harvest and Batemans XXXB.
Another limited quantity beer, Frambozen, from New Belgium is available in 6 packs.
For those of us who enjoyed the Stone tasting here and then later at Brouwers and missed the debut of Rogue's Captain Sig's Deadliest Catch at the LockSpot last night, don't get crabby. We've got bombers of it.
Bridgeport Raven Mad Imperial Porter (22oz.) is in, complete with 3D glasses to experience the label.
And, as always this time of year, Ridgeway livens up the holiday season with some lighthearted English ales. Bad Elf, their hoppy winter ale, arrived in 500ml bottles.
That's it for today. Get some sleep so you can enjoy Big Wood Fest at Brouwer's starting tomorrow afternoon with us Bottleworks boys.
