Brasserie McAuslan Launch



Sunday, October 30th from 4PM until close we'll be hosting the launch of Brasserie McAuslan in Washington. We're very honored as McAuslan is one of the oldest and most respected craft breweries in Quebec. Founded in 1989 in Montreal, they were the first craft brewery in the province to bottle their beers. They have since won numerous medals in international competitions for their world-class ales and were well-regarded by The Beer Hunter, Michael Jackson.

We'll be pouring samples of the St-Ambroise Oatmeal Stout and the St-Ambroise Vintage Ale 2009. We'll of course have bottles of both available along with a limited amount of the St-Ambroise Citrouille Pumpkin Ale. The always effervescent Dan, from Orcas Distributing, will be here to answer any questions and give out hugs.

Ninkasi Brewers Night


Join us this Thursday from 6-9PM for an evening of Ninkasi beers. We will be tasting all the beers from their new 4 pack, including a new imperial stout. Additionally we will have a special vintage draft offering and a fresh hop offering to try. So bring a friend, bring a growler, and bring a $1, because that's all it'll cost you to sample all the beers.

Fresh Hop Season


Starting this Friday, the day after our Ninkasi Brewing Company night, we will start the flood of fresh hop beers on draft. Availability of fresh hop beers in kegs was much greater this year and we have far more kegs than we do taps. Originally we had planned to put them all on at once but since we can't fit them all we figure why not spread them out over the course of a month so that if you can't make it one day, you are sure to get some the next. Starting on that Friday (the 14th), we will have around 3 or 4 fresh hop beers on draft at any one time until we run out of kegs. So come by Friday, then check our blog to see what we have on draft and come back often. All of our fresh hop beers will be available for growler fills and no, they do not make a fresh hop Pliny the Elder.
