Our new Sister

Open now, from the people who brought you Bottleworks and Brouwer’s Café (AKA, the Matts): Burgundian.  The new Wallingford/Greenlake neighborhood pub features upwards of 50 bourbons (and its cousins), 50 tequilas, as well as the same great beer selection you’ve come to expect from the bottle shop and the Café.  Twenty-two rotating taps highlight mainly craft breweries from around the USA (from the ridiculous to the sublime), as well as some interesting imports included for good measure.  The bottle list is actually a can list, with over 60 canned beers and ciders, focusing on an often overlooked, but recently emerging, vessel.
In the Kitchen, Chef Mario Campos’ menu offers breakfast all day (try the chicken and waffles!), as well as Chef’s own twist on hearty pub fare (sample the Duck Confit Poutine, sink your teeth into the Mediterranean Grilled Cheese with hummus and olive tapenade); and in a nod to Brouwer’s, Burgundian has imported everyone’s favorite Lamb Burger, and of course, signature Belgian Frites.
Hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday: 10am-midnight (kitchen until 10pm); Friday-Saturday: 10am-2am (kitchen until 11pm).
Burgundian is located at 2253 North 56th Street.  Phone: 206-420-8943.
