Cigar Spotlight #2

Our second installment of Cigar Spotlight brings you a dark and tasty treat from My Father Cigars. Murcielago is not just a car you can't afford, it's also a great Nicaraguan stogie we carry at the shop. Murcielago means bat in Spanish, and these cigars are dark like their nighttime namesake. Wrapped in a beautiful Mexican San Andreas wrapper, these bats lurk with a spicy Nicaraguan filler and Mexican binder.
Never had a cigar with Mexican tobacco? That's a shame because the San Andreas Valley in Mexico has rich volcanic soils that are perfect for churning out rich flavorful leaf. The box pressed Toro (6 1/8" X 50) that we have feels like it's wrapped in velvet. The San Andreas Wrapper pre-smoke has a rich cedar and macchiato aroma. Flavors lean toward cedar and leather with plenty of cocoa and coffee coming into play. With the streak of sunny weekends we have been having, it's the perfect time to stop in and pick up a few Murcielago Capa Negra cigars to go along with your weekend beers.
